January 9, 2020

Throughout the week of January 13, we’ll continue replacing concrete panels and sidewalks on both N 40th St and N 50th St. We will also start saw cutting road pavement on the Green Lake Loop as soon as the week of January 20.

This work is highly weather dependent and for the safety of our team, we will not be able to work next week if there is any snow on the ground.

See below for more information about new and continuing work planned for the week of January 13.

What’s New:

N 50th St:
  • Stone Way N to I-5: expect pedestrian detours, lane closures with one lane maintained in each direction, shifted travel lanes, and traffic occasionally reduced to a single lane with flaggers present to rotate traffic.
Green Lake Loop
  • Green Lake Way N: We'll be starting work at N 51st St and continuing north. Expect pedestrian detours and shifted travel lanes.
What’s Continuing:
  • Work Monday - Friday, from 7 AM to 7 PM
  • For more information on our typical construction impacts, please visit our project website.
N 40th St:
  • From Stone Way N to Wallingford Ave N: expect pedestrian detours and shifted travel lanes.
N 50th St:
  • East of I-5: expect pedestrian detours, lane closures with one lane maintained in each direction, and shifted travel lanes.
  • We anticipate completing this work by the end of January, weather depending. We will return in late spring or early summer to complete final asphalt paving on N 50th St

What we’ve heard:
Each week, we’ll plan to answer a few frequently asked questions from the community.

What do we do in case of an emergency near the project?
If there are any emergency situations that arise in our project area, please call 911.

Will work continue if it snows?
For the safety of our team and the community, we will not be working if there is any snow on the ground. Our work is very weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change

We are coordinating with Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) and Puget Sound Energy (PSE) who are also working in the area.

PSE's natural gas project is doing work on N 80th St and preparing to start work on N 50th St at Stone Way N. If you have questions about their work, you can contact them at  425-505-3768 or MajorProjects@pse.com.

SPU is conducting pavement and sewer repair on N 40th St and Meridian Ave N.

Please share this email with others who might be interested in receiving project information and construction updates, and feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
