In February, we will conduct parent-teacher conferences as well as begin our scheduling process for the 2017-2018 school year.  Parent-teacher conferences will be held at SMS on Wednesday, February 15th from 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm and Thursday, February 16th, from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm.  Conferences can be arranged with any of your child's teachers or counselor, as well as the school nurse, librarian or any of the administrators.  The conference period for each student's parent(s) will be 15 minutes in duration.

If you would like to schedule any conferences during this time, please contact the Guidance Office at 717-235-4811, extension 3252 from 8:00 AM till 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday or email connie.markle@sycsd.org or jacqueline.winterson@sycsd.org.  More information regarding the scheduling process for 2017-2018 will be communicated to parents later in the month through our school messenger system that will include the 6th Grade Scheduling and Transition Night as well as the scheduling night at SHS for our current 8th grade students.

Have a great start to the New Year!

DONATION REQUEST FROM FES

We have been asked to assist Friendship Elementary in stocking some recess carts with different games that would rotate to classrooms during indoor recess.

Please consider donating new or gently used games such as card games, checkers, Sorry, Jenga, chess, etc. for FES students.

You or your SMS student may drop them off in the Middle School Main Office.  We will see that the games are delivered to Friendship.

Please send in complete game sets only.  Thank you so much for your donations.
