Wow!  Friendship is off to a great start for the new school year!  We set new records for parent attendance at our Back to School Night and the Friendship Family Picnic.  Did you know that parent involvement is the number one factor that determines a child's success in school?  This being the case, we are going to have the best learning year ever!

We continue to follow our School-Wide Effective Behavior Support Plan,  "U ROCK” at Friendship.  I am sure if you ask your child what each letter stands for they will tell you:  U are responsible, Remember to follow directions, Own your actions, Control yourself, and Kindness counts.  We already had our first lessons for what it means to “U Rock” in the cafeteria and the playground.   I can definitely share Friendship children rock the Kindness counts rule!

So many exciting things are happening here at Friendship on a daily basis.  This year we are adding a Student Council made up of our fifth and sixth graders.  Elections are being held for student officers and representatives. Be on the look out for special events we know will be coming from this dynamic organization.

Extra!  Extra! Read all about it!  Our fifth and sixth graders are also working on producing a Friendship newspaper this year.  We are excited to read what our budding news reporters create this year!

As I share every year, it is an honor to serve as your child's principal.  Being in the career of education, I have the privilege of helping prepare learners for all other careers.  I cannot think of a better place to be than with my Friendship Family!  Thank you!

Though 86 percent of families say attendance plays a big role in helping their child graduate, nearly half believe missing three or more days of school per month won't have a significant impact on academic performance. This report, Make Every Day Count:  Boost School Attendance, will help families ensure their children don't miss school and lose precious instructional time.
