Celebrate the City of Tampa’s 135th Birthday by participating in Archives Awareness Week! Throughout the week (July 11 – 15th), enjoy free exhibits and programs honoring our city's history, including “The Soul Walk History Party,” “Ybor City Walking Tour,” “Plant’s Follies: The Casino and Tampa’s Civic Identity,” and more.

On July 12th at 5:30 pm, meet your local first responders at the Forest Hills Park Community Center and discover ways you can keep your family safe this summer at our Tampa Fire Rescue x Tampa Parks & Recreation Health & Safety Open House! This quarter’s theme is Hurricane Preparedness. The Atlantic Hurricane Season occurs from June 1 - November 30. Coffee with Castor
Live in Grant Park, Highland Pines, and the surrounding area? Join the next Coffee with Castor event on Saturday, July 16th at McDonald's (6013 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd) from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. Grab a coffee, and share your ideas and concerns with Mayor Castor and City staff.
The Soul Walk History Party
As part of Archives Awareness Week, join The Soul Walk History Party on Thursday, July 14th from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm as Black Tampanians are welcomed to share their thrilling days of yesteryear. Bring old photographs and documents for scanning, and bring stories & memories to be recorded as oral histories. The event will be hosted at C. Blythe Andrews, Jr. Public Library (2607 E. Dr. MLK, Jr. Blvd) and light refreshments will be served.
Job of the Week
The Mobility team is looking for an Urban Planner III to participate in a variety of municipal programs and/or project planning activities. This position will often take the team lead on planning projects, regulatory and policy amendments, coordination of various phases of the planning process, and participation in the analysis of municipal conditions/needs and development of plans.
