Backyard Composting Program
September registration is open for our composting pilot program. Single-family residential customers with a yard can sign up to complete a required virtual workshop & receive a free bin. Space is limited; register at tampa.gov/compost.
Poetry Post
The Poetry Post is a mobile public art project that encourages people from across the city to jot down a poem, short story or haiku then post it in the box. Anyone can submit their works as a part of this project that ties Tampa artists together. It can now be found at the Gwen Miller Community Center, located in Woodland Terrace Neighborhood at 6410 N 32nd St, Tampa, FL 33610.
Fix It Fast
The City of Tampa’s Mobility Department is committed to providing the highest quality customer service while improving efficiency, communication, and performance tracking. The Fix It Fast program focuses on delivering timely repairs within 72 hours after a report is filed; these repairs can include potholes, cave-ins, sign obstructions, roadway obstructions, and sign repairs. Job of the Week
The Water Department is looking for Certified Water Technicians to perform and oversee semi-skilled and skilled tasks in construction, valve maintenance and repair at Water Distribution. Graduation from an accredited high school, technical or vocational school and seven (7) years of experience in water distribution pipeline work is required.
