It's a quiet time if the year for us triathletes around the 'Gong. Most races are wrapping up, it's starting to get a bit chilly, and we all start to wind it down a bit - unless you're gearing up for Ironman Cairns!

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE FOR 2021 - 2022 SEASON

An important change is coming to your Triathlon Australia membership & how this affects your ITC membership

You should have received an email now from Triathlon NSW with information about membership changes coming for the 2021 - 2022 season.

Triathlon Australia has been working on implementing GoMembership, departing from the previous Active.com system. This gives a new club-focused membership portal, which will make it easier for everyone in the triathlon community to manage memberships. There will also be a new suite of membership products that caters to more triathlon experiences.

ITC has been working hard with Triathlon NSW in the background as we transition to this new membership portal and tier-based TA membership structure. All-round, it's a significant improvement on what we've previously had, streamlining the various levels of TA membership levels to your own needs, and more importantly for us puts grass-roots level clubs like ITC central to membership. Please note there will be no auto-renewals this year as we switch to the new portal. Both membership renewals and new memberships for the 2021/2022 membership season will open from June 1, and the 2021/2022 membership season will commence from July 1.

ITC Membership Fees for 2021 - 2022 Season
Aligned with the changes to Triathlon Australia's membership structure, we're changing up our membership charges. These membership fees help us continue to put on local races through submissions to Council, help with the operational costs for the Club, TA affiliation, etc.

Adults (Ages 19+) $50
Junior (15 - 19) $30
Junior (13 - 15) $15
Junior (Under 13's) FREE
Social Member (19+) $10
Life Members FREE (because you've earned it 😊)

NOTE these fees are separate to TA membership / race licenses. You can select to sign up to the Club with membership renewal once the new system is live.

2020 - 2021 ITC Club Presentation & Social

Wouldn't it be nice to get together and talk about, ummm...triathlon! we're putting together the plans for our 2020 - 2021 season Presentation and Social. Currently we've flagged an afternoon in mid-July for a family-friendly event, so stay tuned for more info, and keep an eye on our Facebook page for more coming details.

Elite Energy Tri Port Stephens
It was every triathlete's dream greeting them on the beach - a solid 6ft groundswell 😅 A swift change in race format to duathlon and racers were underway, kicking off with sand runs from 500m for the Super Sprint, up to a 4k sand run for Olympic distance athletes! Surely some were thinking they'd rather take their chances in the surf!!

The Sprint distance race doubled as the 2021 Triathlon NSW State Championships. Congratulations to our own Erin Hargrave who took out the State title in the Women's 35-39 division, well done!

Congratulations to all of our ITC athletes who participated, with some incredible results achieved! Some notable ITC member performances included:

Remember there's a new running festival in town on June 6th! With events ranging from a Kid's 2k Fun Run through to a Half Marathon, there's a range of distances on offer for participants to walk or run.

Mark Scott 5k

The 5k event is dedicated to former ITC athlete Mark Scott, the winner of the inaugural Bulli Burn event in 2011.

Mark continues to recover from a serious cycling accident sustained on a training ride in 2011 & requires ongoing care. Funds raised from the 5k event at the Wollongong Running Festival will assist in the ongoing care and treatment for Mark and support for his young family.

We have a 10% discount for the first 50 ITC members to register for any of the events. Use code ITC21 when completing registration.
