Seven Papers Nominated for SC16 Best Paper Award

Out of 442 technical papers submitted to SC16, only 81 were accepted and of these, seven have been nominated for the conference’s Best Paper Award. One of the best paper candidates is also a finalist for the ACM Gordon Bell Prize, which will be presented at SC16.

The papers are in nine focus areas: Applications; Algorithms; Architectures and Networks; Clouds and Distributed Computing; Data Analytics, Visualization and Storage; Performance Measurement, Modeling and Tools; Programming Systems; State of the Practice; and System Software.

Don't Miss SC16's Great Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions

The Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) component of the SC16 technical program will feature 55 BOF sessions spanning a range of important and timely topics, including hardware and software research, government program updates and various areas of computational science.
These 55 sessions will run throughout the day (Tuesday through Thursday) in parallel with other elements of the technical program, in addition to the traditional BOF sessions held at lunch and in the evening.

BOFs are open to both exhibitor and technical program attendees.

The SC16 Student/Postdoc Job Fair gives organizations an excellent opportunity to meet and recruit the next generation of the high performance computing community. The event is open to all students and postdocs attending SC16. Participating organizations will have the opportunity to interact with students from different domains including: computer science, information systems, computational science, and high-performance computing. We encourage organizations to register early to take advantage of the regular registration rate.

Before SC16: In the months leading up to SC16, TTT will provide the 1st 100 exhibitors who decide to participate with a Skype-style video interview. These videos will be posted online and available for you to embed on your properties. The interview takes about 30 minutes to complete. TTT will stream live with 15-minute interview segments conducted from the exhibit floor in the TechStream-Live! format. TTT will also conduct 4-minute “4-on-the-Floor” video interviews at your exhibit booth. These videos are optional, and pricing and descriptions are available at  SC16 Service Offerings.

Participating exhibitors will own all video content and may either use the original source file or the embed code to continue sharing the content w/your audience well after SC16 ends. All interviews will be shared extensively by Trilogy Tech Talk and its media distribution outlet Truth in IT. This is a limited free offer and the available time slots won’t last. SC16 On-Site Childcare Registration Now Open
For the first time ever, SC is offering professional childcare services at SC16 in the convention center to registered attendees and exhibitors for a small fee as low as $5/hour.  Children between the ages of 6 months through 12 years old are eligible to participate.

Extensive childcare hours are available every day beginning Sunday, November 13, through Friday, November 18.  All children using the childcare services must be registered in advance by a parent or legal guardian.

The deadline to sign up is Friday, October 14.
