MY FIRST NEWSLETTER.

Hey everyone, welcome to my very first Blog newsletter.
I still haven't decided what I am going to call it.  My first thought is that I will call it - "Robs Handfull of thoughts", or "a bucket full of wisdom", but some things I say and do, aren't quite so wise. Either way, thanks for following along on my journey.

My goal is to drop information out every couple weeks that I find useful, beneficial or purely entertaining.

You know that it happens to everyone, but what I can't figure out is why?  Every now and then, you get a song stuck in your head, and there is nothing you can do.  My song that is stuck in my head this week - Down Boys -  Warrant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RHENr6Xe70 ....

If you haven't heard of it - its 80s Rock, aka Hair Metal, and now technically an oldie.  What songs get stuck in your head?
Interesting thing I have recently found on the internet - with all my involvement in various charity, and fundraising activities, I have found a course that talks about Sponsorship.  It is based on a blogger who coaches people looking to gain an edge in the ever competitive space of sponsorship.  I will update everyone later more about what I am learning. http://sponsorshipcollective.com/

Many people ask me how I am doing, and I am not sure the best way to explain it.  Part of me was thinking of the old SNL skit and put a commentary here that was something like "Deep thoughts, by Jack Handy".
Many people are confused by my current perspective.  I was having a discussion recently with some friends from Yellowknife that were in town for a short course, and I was telling them about a Mark Manson Blog - http://markmanson.net/not-giving-a-fuck and how one can learn to change their perspective about what is important enough to justify getting agitated, frustrated or angry about.
Current world events do enough to mess with peoples minds, a person needs to learn to not do it to themselves.
What I am looking forward to:
In the big scheme of things, the next few months will likely be a repeat of what I have gone through in the past, so there isn't much to look forward to there.
But, what I am really looking forward to is my birthday present from the kids.  They are getting me a float at a float spa.  I have heard about them for awhile now, and a place opened up near us in West Edmonton... I get to check it out.

Thanks Adam and Tara-Lynn.

Where to go next with this newsletter?

Thanks for taking the time to get this far.  I am always interested in feedback and questions, but I mostly need a couple things - keep coming back while I learn what information that I want to put here, and for people to share this newsletter to people you think it will help.

I don't have a pre-determined direction for this yet, but I want to learn what I can do with it.  I think I will find some headings that I like - say 10 or so, and give my thoughts on 5 of them each time... like the best thing I learned this week, or song stuck in my head.  Once I find a groove, I will get better.

Thanks again.
