We are looking for recommendations for contractors who can take down our existing deck and rebuild it with high end composite material that resists mold and wear. Many thanks! Contact Michele Riedel, mpriedel@comcast.net.

Pete Gatje has been a VDOT Adopt-A-Highway volunteer on two sections of our local highways for 18 years. "Recently I turned 82 and decided it is time for me to retire from litter removal on our highways," he says. He's looking for someone to organize a group to take over the roads he has kept attractive. "As long as you stay off the highway pavement, the work is not dangerous. Most of the litter pick-up is done in the spring and fall," he notes. Read more about his two projects HERE (PDF), or call Pete Gatje at 434-361-1309, or email him at pjgatje@aol.com.
