Recommendations
• Scott Franklin just completed installing stone veneer over our foundation, and he and his crew did a fabulous job. He approaches his stone work as if it's a piece of art. He can be contacted at 443-906-9711. With many years of experience, Scott definitely knows what he is doing and takes his job very seriously. Reasonable prices too!  Submitted by Bob and Cynthia Turk, cbcrbt1@gmail.com, 434-361-1707.

Requests
• We are looking for roofers to give us estimates on replacing our roof at Wintergreen. Does anyone have a  recommendation? Lenore Magrum, lmagrum3@verizon.net.

Announcements
Recycle—Don’t Toss—Your Unused Computer!  We all have them - perfectly good computers that we no longer use because we upgraded to newer ones. Consider donating that unused computer to a deserving family in Nelson County.

Ready to help is your neighbor, Joe Steele, a member of the nonprofit Nelson County Community Fund, who accepts pre-owned Windows computers, monitors, and printers. Joe refurbishes, repairs, and updates (with additional memory, larger hard drives, etc.) donated computers. The hard drives are wiped clean, and a new operating system and software targeted to school-age children are installed.

Complete, updated computer systems, including the PC, monitor, speakers, printer, are given to the Monticello Area Community Action Agency. MACAA distributes the systems to Head-Start families, and families with school-age children who use computers in school but do not have their own computer at home. Joe has donated more than 160 computers to deserving families through this program. To schedule a pick up/drop off of your used computer system, contact Joe Steele at 434-361-1597 or jasteele@att.net.

•  Friday, May 17 at 7:30 pm, in the Rockfish Lounge at the Rockfish Valley Community Center. House Concert with Dr. Levine & the Dreaded Blues Lady. This energetic duo, comprised of Lorie Strother on vocals and Stephen Levine on guitar, performs a diverse selection of acoustic music styles. Though blues is their focus, they also sometimes surprise audiences with Jazz, R&B, Soul, and Classic Rock tunes.

Lorie Strother can't remember a time when she wasn't singing because it came so naturally. She has been performing and recording her interpretation of acoustic blues since the early 1990s. Stephen Levine is a historian at the University of Virginia who studies and teaches about the evolution and cultural significance of blues music. He started playing the guitar when he was eleven years old; after his first listen to Robert Johnson's Crossroad Blues, he became obsessed with classic pre-war blues. Cost is $7 for members and $9 for non-members. Refreshments will be available.

• If you like to enjoy and keep up with the variety of activities and events that happens at Wintergreen Resort, be advised that the weekly schedule, This Week at Wintergreen, now is only available digitally. Or you'll find the link to the newest edition of This Week at Wintergreen in the green Current box in the top right corner of any page on the website.
