• Becky Ilog reports she recently renovated a Wintergreen condo and can recommend three "great" tradespeople:
Nathan Kintner did tile work. Easy to work with (He's busy, you may have to wait).  Great results. 434-610-6062
Bruce Ward is an electrician. His team made multiple electrical repairs, installed new fixtures, etc. Very professional. (He busy you may have to wait). 434-981-2912
Rek Kennedy is a carpenter who did demolition, removed large mirrors without breaking them, and trim work. He went the extra mile. 434-262-2453.

Our main living room stone fireplace has had some grout repair approximately halfway up above mantel prior to out purchase 2 years ago. It obviously was a makeshift job (sort of looks like the foam yellow filler?), but it has been crumbling and creating a mess on mantel repeatedly. That old ‘grout’ filler needs dug out and repaired properly. Also, the outside chimney had a small stone fall out that is on the roof. We would like that repaired and the rest inspected for any other lose stones. Submitted by Carol Haden

• I am looking for an experienced upholsterer to refurbish a large leather sectional couch. The couch likely needs new cushion inserts and possibly new/retied springs, as well as minor touch-ups to the leather.  Please text or call recommendations to 202-359-1035.  Submitted Sherry Peske
