• We recommend Steve Drummond owner/operator of Drummond Electrical 434-944-1247. Steve has done all of our electrical work in both our home in Lynchburg and at Wintergreen. He is based in Amherst so Wintergreen is not off the grid for him. Steve was recently recognized by the Amherst County Chamber of Commerce as the 2019 Best Small Business.  We have baseboard heating and would like to make improvements to our system. Does anyone have recommendations for a HVAC contractor? Thanks, Maryjane MacDonald at mjb.macdonald@gmail.com
• With many of their regular volunteers out sick or out of town, occasional volunteer help is needed now at The Treasure Chest. "We need some short-term help in the sorting area for just a few hours or just a single day, whatever works for you," says the Rockfish Valley Community Center. See the details here on how you can help.
• Last Wednesday, after a test of the proposed community sirens, Wintergreen Fire & Rescue Chief Curtis Sheets said, "Please understand today's test was in no way an indication of how our system will ultimately perform." If you are clueless about that, you need to sign up for ALERT WINTERGREEN–click HERE. It's free. Chief Sheets says it is the best way to be aware of emergencies in our community.
