NEPEAN FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (NFDP) SEASON!

The Nepean Football Development Program is the official development program of the NFA and our development pathway partner, the Western Sydney Wanderers.

This year we are re-branding it and making it bigger and better than ever.

We will continue to have qualified coaches delivering the highest quality development training sessions in line with the FFA National Curriculum but will also be expanding to new locations.

We will be delivering our 16 week NFDP sessions at Glenbrook, Penrith, Glenmore Park, Richmond, Cranebrook and Colo.

I'VE GOT A BYE BUT I WANT TO PLAY!
WHAT CLUBS CAN DO TO GIVE THEIR PLAYERS MORE VALUE FOR MONEY

In some instances, it’s unavoidable, byes exist in competitions.  Some people like the idea of a scheduled weekend of no football, but for most, it’s disappointing not to have a game to play.  If this is you, ask your club, with plenty of notice, to search for other similar aged/graded teams who have a bye on the same weekend you do, and organise a friendly match.  It’s super easy to do and clubs just need to remember to have the match sanctioned.  Friendly matches don’t have referees assigned to them, but with notice, you can always request one and if there’s a spare referee, they’ll cover your game for the standard fee.
COACHING NEWS
The season is about to kick off and everyone’s excited!!!
Since the end of the 2015 season we’ve had over 350 coaches attend FFA Community Coach Education Courses here in Nepean alone so it’s going to be awesome to see the benefits of all this training over the duration of the season. This is a massive number and something that all of us should be proud of and I know that other Associations and areas are jealous of.
Don’t forget that if you want James to come to your club to run an update or a training session, contact your club coaching coordinator and they will work with me to schedule a visit. To read the full article, Click Here.
