Anti Bullying Week 2018
The children have had a fantastic week thinking about our theme of ‘Choose Respect’. Activities have included creating fingerprint artwork to celebrate everyone’s uniqueness, studying examples of respect in sport, discussing how to demonstrate respect in the playground and classroom and performing raps about how to resist bullying.  They have also considered the definition of bullying and what to do if they think they or someone they know is being bullied

End of term productions /concerts
At Fox we try to reflect the diversity of our school community and the needs of the RE curriculum, by having a range of different productions at this time of year. Thus, Phase A does a show describing the Nativity story, as it fits in with their RE curriculum for this term, Phase B does a non-religious Christmas production (this year about penguins!) and Phase C do a concert that covers a range of religious festivals at this time of year, including Divali and Hannukah. As the children progress through the school they therefore learn about the different religious festivals, which also links in with the expectation of every school to follow the government-prescribed British Values.

Sleep Workshop
Thank you for all those that attended the sleep workshop.
If you missed it, here are a couple of the handouts and a link to an interesting article recommended by Vicki:
Keep It Fox
The good news is that we now have 57 regular monthly donors! Their contributions will make a real  difference when we are setting next years budget. However, we have over 200 families at Fox and it would be great if we had at least 100 families donating on a regular basis.

Remember the money raised will go directly into  the 2019-2020 school budget.

If you are able to make a donation please use one of the following options:
1. Online: one off or regular monthly payments can be set up with BT my donate.
This will be gift aided automatically.
2. Set up a recurring monthly Standing Order and fill in the Gift Aid Declaration form, see
Road Safety Week
Next week (19th-23rd) is Road Safety week. Road Safety Week aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the Week and beyond. All the children will be involved in a Road Safety week activity. This year has two themes, Key Stage one will be focusing on lights, signals and road crossings and Key Stage Two will be exploring distraction and reaction.
Book recommendation
Michael Morpurgo's Poppy Field: a poignant read teaches pupils about the journey of the poppy and the sacrifice of those who fought in WW1; very appropriate at this time of year.
Gardening requests
Thank you so much for all of the 'Bonne Maman' jars, of which we now have plenty. May we also request any smaller chutney type jars (eg M&S). Also we are desperate for 20 whole slate  roof tiles to label the beds and large plant pots. Any contributions gratefully received.
Many thanks JLT
