"Looking back, I don't think I ever had a conversation about money when I was growing up, talking about money was considered taboo, even vulgar." 💸

Good morning,

Today is a special newsletter! My book “You’Re Not Broke, You’Re Pre-Rich” has been out in this world for 6 months! And while I am not sure a 6-month book birthday is an actual thing - let’s say it is. In the article below, I want to bring you the behind the scenes of the writing process and hopefully inspire you to get started with anything you’d like to create or do.

👀 And for more about the book, I’ll be posting mini-summaries of the content until Christmas - this week is a summary of Chapter 1.

💝 I am also running a book giveway so make sure you follow us on Instagram!

📆 If you want to meet in person, our workshop on December 9th is sold out but I am interviewing the amazing Romi Savova (Co-founder and CEO of the pension consolidation and investment app PensionBee) on December 18th (it’s a Christmas special too) for our new series Women Invest. Early birds tickets are gone but we still have lots of space for you to join (if you can’t afford a ticket but want to join, please send me an email!

Have a good day,

xx Emilie

6 Months of
“You’Re Not Broke, You’Re Pre-Rich”
It’s been a crazy ride! So my first book “You’Re Not Broke, You’Re Pre-Rich” came into being exactly 6 months ago. If you’ve missed the whys and hows, you can find my first article “How did I write a book and get it published?” on Medium. But now I’m going to sketch out what about the whole process might be relevant to you, what has been exciting, and which bits were the most difficult.

Chapter 1:
What IS Money?
What is money for you? Money is deeply personal to all of us. It can mean freedom, an escape from stress or obligation, and stability. But thoughts and emotions around money can also be negative: feeling like you don’t deserve what you earn, feeling shame or jealousy, or like you don’t have and will never have enough.
