To our valued clients,
Yes indeed, under new directives from Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health for Regulated Health Professionals,
RMT's are now permitted to gradually restart services!
While this is exciting news, the safety of the public and our clients remains our top priority.
At this time we as a clinic
are still holding off on booking future appointments until we are able to
ensure we meet all requirements,
protocol and required training.
As we are a larger clinic with multiple therapists there are many protocol and logistics to work out than if we were perhaps each individually working from an isolated office space. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate these new logistics.
We will be in touch shortly with our official start date and exact protocol, screening processes, and the inclusion criteria all clients will need to meet in order to receive treatment.
In the meantime you may wish to know that; The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) has recommended that at this time RMT's:
"limit the number of in-person visits"
for both your safety and ours,
"Prioritize clients with essential care needs while gradually resuming practice."
"Massage Therapy treatment is considered essential when the client’s overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences);"
"Determine whether it is best to provide treatment by weighing the potential harm that could be done to the client (e.g. contracting COVID-19 and/or spreading it within their community) against the potential benefit of the treatment"
And from us;
That those with previously booked appointments will also be prioritized and your massage therapist will be reaching out
to you just as soon as they feel comfortable to do so and have the room in their schedule to see you.
With increased cleaning times between clients, new documentation requirements and screening processes, and limiting the number of therapists working at any given time in order to reduce your risk of potential exposure to other clients, our schedules will be a little tighter than normal to begin with. On top of the restrictions on which treatments are ethical to pursue or not means that our schedules are going to be limited as we start to ease back into practice.
