Those of you familiar with us here at Applied Colour know that our company is built on the strength of our relationships. To that end, and given the new, social media / electronic era that we are immersed in, we wanted to continue developing relationships through a Quarterly Newsletter.  But this won’t be your typical corporate newsletter - it will, instead, offer a few peeks behind the curtain, so to speak - a couple of tidbits in every issue that show a different side of Applied Colour.  We hope you like it and share it with your friends and family and, as always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.
The Official Launch Of Our New Websites!

After a great deal of hard work, the launch of new websites for both Applied Colour and Venger Electrostatic Coatings is near!!

We are pleased to announce that the websites will have a very similar look and feel and they will be fully mobile friendly.

Clients will have the ability to request quotes, while potential employees will have the ability to send us resumés. As well, we will be showcasing our projects, demonstrating how we leave people and places better than we found them!

As with most projects like these, we're sure the websites will have a couple of typos, so, upon launch, we will be running a contest….

We will be drawing for two $50 gift cards, one for each website, for helping us find typos. Simply click through on the "Contact Us" button and let us know where you saw the error and your name will be entered into the draw.

When to Paint Pressure Treated Wood
Property Managers and home owners ask us every summer, “When can you come paint my new deck?” Our reply is always the same, “Next summer”.

Why? you ask…..

When a pressure treated deck or fence project is brand new usually the lumber is still very “green” and has a high moisture content.

You may have heard the term “season” and how it is important to let a new deck season prior to staining or painting it. To season a deck or any pressure treated wood project simply means to let it sit, for a season, before you attempt to stain it. This is because the wood still has too much moisture in it and staining it can trap that unwanted moisture. This can lead to many moisture problems like mold, fungi, rot, and decay.  From a cost perspective, your paint or stain will fail therefore requiring you to repaint your deck or fence again next summer.

We believe in doing the job right the first time, so if you ask us when we can come paint your new fence, you need to be prepared for our answer.
Highlights from Applied Colour BC
It seems as if the word is getting out! Applied Colour B.C. is here, and we leave people and places better than we found them!

Michael and his Applied B.C. crew were busy this summer leaving their mark on the Victoria landscape as well as the  surrounding region.  Exterior facades we're rejuvenated, interior walls were made ready for new families and shopping centres received a happy new fresh coat of paint.

The fall seems to be shaping up quite nicely for the BC team and we're so grateful to have Applied Colour B.C. as part of our Applied Family!
