Soul Winning in Wilmington
My first time knocking on doors in Wilmington was very productive. On a Thursday afternoon in March, Pastor Moore and I began knocking on doors. I was able to speak with a lady named Sonia. Sonia is a Spanish-speaking lady who is fluent in English. I was able to share the Gospel with Sonia, and she trusted Christ as her personal Savior! She was very interested in the Bible and she said that no one had ever opened the Bible with her. She has been in the Catholic church most of her life. Please pray for her, and pray that we would be able to start a discipleship course with her. Also pray that we could speak with her husband Daniel, and that he would come to know Christ as his Savior.
We were able to take a group from Capitol Baptist Church up to Wilmington at the beginning of April. Over thirty people showed up to knock on doors, letting people know about the new church. We had two people make professions of faith in Christ. Several folks from the community expressed interested in receiving more information about the new church. We praise the Lord for His work in people's lives.
I was able to meet Ted who has lived his whole life in the Philadelphia/Wilmington area. He said several times that he doesn't know of a good church in the city. He is currently not going to church anywhere because he said he was not being spiritually fed. I asked him if he would be interested in being part of a Bible study, and he excitingly declared "YES." That was a thrill to my heart. Please pray as we seek to start this Bible study in the next months ahead.
