Vol. 1 No. 1 - September 2016

Dear IETTN newsletter subscriber, we are pleased to send you the first edition !

Since nearly one year, our team has worked hard in making this project a reality - while discussions actually began three years ago ! We are very glad of the interest we have received so far from you, especially at our launch event of last June at the IEEE Tech Industry Summit in Santa Clara, CA.

The goal of IETTN is to promote collaboration between research and industry through educating on the process of technology transfer which includes activities related to intellectual property, licensing, product development, commercialization, financing and many others. We believe the key link to success is the work done by the technology transfer offices (TTOs) and this is why the key message behind IETTN is: talk to your TTO.

You will note that this first edition contains news that are dated from a few months to a few years but are all relevant to our audience. Over time, you should get only fresh / few months news.

Now, please share this newsletter with all your friends and feel free to contact us on any opportunity that you think that might be a fit for IETTN (new financing, new patent, new product, new startup, etc.). You can also read our official press release announcing IETTN.

We would like to specially thank the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) for sponsoring, supporting and taking leadership in this project.

Best Regards,

Marc Perron and Dietmar Brucker, IETTN EiC & co-EiC.
