Hemp History Week is June 3-9
We're celebrating all month with deals on select Hemp and CBD items! (See flyer below)

It's an historic year for Hemp - the first full year industrial hemp production is legal throughout the US corresponds with the 10th Anniversary of Hemp History Week!  As of December of 2018, the signing of the Farm Bill ended the era of hemp prohibition.
"Hemp is forever deemed an agricultural commodity, no longer mistaken as a controlled substance, like marijuana. By redefining hemp to include its “extracts, cannabinoids and derivatives,” Congress explicitly has removed popular hemp products -- such as hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) -- from the purview of the Controlled Substances Act.  Accordingly, the Drug Enforcement Administration no longer has any possible claim to interfere with the interstate commerce of hemp products. "
Not all hemp products are created equal.  The breed of plant and how it is grown makes a big difference!  We go the extra mile to make sure the CBD brands we carry are reputable, and not just  fly-by-night companies taking advantage of a trend.  Our brands are organically grown, carefully controlled, use low (less than .03%) or no THC breeds, as well as use clean extraction methods (like CO2) with no harsh solvents.
Hemp is super versatile!  Hemp seeds are a fantastic protein source, hemp oil is heart-healthy and great for dry skin, and hemp fiber is a sustainable choice compared to cotton and synthetics.  Find hemp in foods and bodycare products from brands like Dr. Bronner's, Himalania, LadyJane Hemp Foods, Nutiva, Manitoba Harvest, and more!  If it has hemp as a component, Loyalty Members can get a deal on it during Hemp History Week -  see coupon below!

June is PTSD Awareness Month

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is thought to affect 7-8% of Americans, with women more likely to be affected.  When a traumatic event occurs, many people will re-live the event and experience the fear and anxiety over and over again, even after the real threat is gone.  For some, this can last for months or years, and that is when it is more than acute stress.

PTSD can negatively impact mood, sleep, immunity, relationships at home and work, and can even manifest itself as physical pain.

There is hope for those who are suffering from PTSD.  For those who do not wish to take pharmaceutical anti-depressants, there are many holistic approaches that could be considered.  Counseling, finding supportive persons, and active coping techniques like meditative breathing and physical exercise are key to the mind-body approach.  Adaptogenic herbs like Holy Basil and Ashwaganda may help the body adapt to stress and reduce anxiety.

Essential oils and Flower Remedies can also be a part of the therapy.  In particular, there is some evidence for Orange Essential Oil to reduce stress and fear response.  That is just one of many oils that may help reduce stress, improve sleep, and release tension.

Learn more about FLOWER REMEDIES and PTSD at the FREE EVENT June 12 (see below).  Keep an eye out for an upcoming info session on ESSENTIAL OILS for PTSD, date and time to be determined.

PTSD is a REAL Injury

If you or someone you love are one of the 3 million Americans affected by PTSD, this workshop is for you. An unforgettable, horrific event can change your life in an instant, regardless of age or gender. Everybody responds differently, but what if, despite your best effort and determination, you don't "bounce back" and can't seem to move forward?

In the 1900s, Dr. Edward Bach realized that heightened imbalances in personality can result from stress. For example, someone who tends to be impatient may become more prone to outbursts and nervous tension as a result of shock, stress, or trauma. Dr. Bach studied the flowers that can help bring back emotional balance.

Discover how these simple, non-addictive, personalized natural flower remedies can be used to enable peace and combat PTSD.
