Dear Pope Francis Global Academy Families,

Thank you for partnering with us at Pope Francis Global Academy as we earnestly strive to provide the highest quality Christ-centered, educational experiences to engage, inspire and empower your child(ren) to reach their personal best.

As you know from my email last week, Mr. Terrence O’Rourke has chosen to resign as Head of School. To respect his privacy and honor his past leadership to the school, I am unable to provide additional information surrounding this decision.

What I do want to stress though, is that his resignation is in no way a reflection on the health and vitality of the school. The Administrative team and the faculty are as strong as ever and are committed to your child(ren)’s spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth and wellbeing.

During this time of transition, I am honored and excited to be the Interim Head of School for our Pope Francis Global Academy community. As the Deputy Principal for the past year, I am already aware of PFGA’s strengths and weaknesses, and have been integrally involved in not only the day to day operations of the school, but also in the strategic planning since I began in July. I am confident that we can not only continue moving in a positive direction, but accelerate the pace of improvement to benefit all our our students.

I understand that change of leadership may bring anxiety or uncertainty to some families.  If there is anything you need, or if you have any academic concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at mkinel@pfgacademy.org or 773-763-7080 ext. 1000 to discuss.

Please know that the Archdiocese and our four Pastors are working prayerfully and diligently to make decisions about PFGA’s staffing as quickly as possible.  Thank you for supporting us during this transition.

In partnership,

Margaret Kinel
Interim Head of School
Pope Francis Global Academy
