Foreign National Employees
The University of Tennessee purchased the Glacier software package to assist employees with IRS tax compliance. In November of 2015, the Payroll Office sent emails from firstname.lastname@example.org to active foreign national employees. Many of these employees signed in, provided the required information, and submitted the forms generated by Glacier. However, we have many employees that still need to log in and answer the questions presented. For employees who have not signed into Glacier, completion of the UT Non-Citizen form will not be required.
Your help is needed to get the word out to our foreign nationals to sign into Glacier. Emails were sent to their @tennessee.edu email addresses and the System Payroll Office will be resending notifications to those that still need to sign in as well as to those that signed in but didn't print, sign and submit the forms to their office. If you have an employee tha should receive an email but hasn't, please contact Laura Tavassoli at email@example.com with the employee's first and last name, pay cycle and email address. Also, please help them to remember to update their information as it changes. Additionally, please remember to terminate employees that are no longer working.
Foreign nationals that are refugees, here on DACA, or Permanent Residents (PR) do not need to login to Glacier as they will be taxed as a US person.
