Reflecting on 2021, Its Challenges, and Our Partners' Successes
It might be somewhat controversial to say, but for us, 2021 has been a year to remember. 2021 presented the LOCUS team and our partners with plenty of challenges, true; however, we've also been privileged to work through them alongside our amazing mission-driven partners and come out on the other side to see the impact being created in their communities.

This month, LOCUS President Sarah Stremlau shares our takeaways from the past year, highlighting three key lessons learned through the example of our partners.  Their efforts show how capital can be a tool to drive equitable prosperity in communities where people live, work, and raise their families.

Partner Spotlight: Invest Appalachia
If You Want to Go Far, Go Together

Invest Appalachia, a regional blended capital platform designed to accelerate and expand community investment across Central Appalachia, is also reflecting on their year in review. In his annual letter, CEO Andrew Crosson discusses the program's contributions to ecosystem development initiatives like the Appalachian Investment Framer Action Cohort, the Appalachian Solar Finance Fund, and the Appalachian Investment Ecosystem Journey.
