Joseph HowellHello <<First Name>>,

Welcome to February! Our monthly breakfast will be on February 18, and we will be joined by new Tucson Chief of Police Chris Magnus. You do not want to miss this. RSVP today!

Several bills have been introduced in the current session of the AZ State Legislature that I thought you might be interested in. SB1199 would ban employment discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and veteran status; SB1171 would eliminate current state law that requires judges to give preference to married heterosexual couples in adoptions; and SB1019 would change the state law that currently prohibits educators from discussing homosexuality during sex education classes.

The first two bills are co-sponsored by State Senator Steve Farley, who, depending on how late the legislative session goes on the 25th, may be joining us at our Out & About Mixer, hosted by Big Frog. They have a reputation for hosting one heck of a party, so don't miss out!

And the Chamber is helping to sponsor the Southern Arizona Senior Pride forum on February 7, where I will be one of the featured speakers. Scroll down for more info!
