CFUW Membership Dues
Submitting Club Membership Dues

Reminder: the CFUW Membership dues are $55 per capita and the GWI Dues are an additional $30.10 per capita.

How to get your Membership dues invoice:
  1. Go to http://www.cfuwmembership.org and click "login" at the very top right of the screen.
  2. Use your regular username and password. If you do not remember it, please contact Brittany Sagriff, Member Engagement Coordinator memberservices@cfuw-fcfdu.ca or telephone toll free:  1-888-220-9606
  3. Once you are logged in, go to "clubs" in the menu and click "enter club membership."  If your membership numbers are not listed for this year yet,  please add them in as they are needed in order to generate the invoice.
  4. To add in or update your membership numbers,  click on the ‘EDIT’ button on the left hand side of the grey table. It will allow you to change your membership to reflect your final numbers. Make sure after you have entered new membership numbers to click on the 'UPDATE' button where the Edit button used to be.
  5. Please review it, make sure it is correct, (CFUW members pay $55.00 and GWI Dues are $30.10), and click "download membership invoice" at the bottom of the screen to get your invoice. There you will find the total due, to whom you should write the cheque, and where to send it.
  6. Print this invoice and send it in along with a cheque noting it is for Membership Dues in the memo section. You make the cheque out to “Canadian Federation of University Women” (please do not use CFUW, CFUW National, etc.) .
  7.  Please note that we have not had time to change the address on the invoice to the new office. The new address is: Room 230, 815 St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa K1K 3A7.
Notice to GWI Supporting Clubs:

CFUW Membership website-
www.cfuwmembership.org

Each year when our IT specialist undertakes administration on the cfuwmembership.org database and turns over the fiscal year to the next one, the line referring to “Payment of GWI Per Capita Dues” defaults automatically to Club has opted out.

While this can be frustrating, it does allow those clubs that change their status to update it each year. By clicking on the checkmark and then save, one can change it to the following:

In the event that you need assistance in doing this, please contact Brittany at memberservices@cfuw-fcfdu.ca.

CFUW Membership Committee - Spring Dialogues

The VP Membership, Lynne Kent, and Membership Committee invite club presidents, club communication & membership chairs from across Canada to join us for conversations for connecting and sharing via Zoom.

Following the collaborative Communications Committee and Membership Committee webinar on: “Marketing and Recruitment Strategies” in February, the Membership Committee is hosting our spring dialogues this year as a follow-up to this workshop.
We invite you to come together with colleagues from across the country to consider the following 3 questions:
  • What has been your most successful message that has garnered community attention for your club?
  • What has been your most effective tool for getting recognized and appreciated for the work you do?
  • What have your challenges been and what do you want to change/build on?
Come join us in a lively chat! Please select the dates & times (the ones highlighted in blue) that work best for you to join the meeting: click here. When you are prompted to fill out your contact information, please provide your club name under "postal address."

We look forward to engaging with you again and learning of ways CFUW national can help you to be the best you can be.

Warm regards,

Lynne Kent,
CFUW VP Membership

Requesting Clubs Register Information on their Scholarships, Community and International Donations

In preparation for the annual tally of the total amount of scholarships, fellowships, awards, community and international outreach donations provided by Clubs and the Charitable Trust, we are asking you to input your Club's total scholarships and donations made between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 on the cfuwmembership.org website by May 20, 2022

A guide on how to submit your 2021 Club education awards and donations is available at this link here

If you have any questions or require your Club's Username/Password, please contact Betty Dunlop, CFUW Fellowships Program Manager, at fellowships@cfuw-fcfdu.ca.

While CFUW publicizes the amount it awards for education, we know that many Clubs make donations to their communities and to some activities and organizations internationally. We suspect that these amounts are quite significant and we would like to give credit to those Clubs and publicize the total amounts given on the community and international levels. In this respect, there are two sections on the CFUW membership website cfuwmembership.org: one is called Community Outreach Donations and the other is International Outreach Donations. We are asking you to input your Club’s individual Community Outreach Donations as well as your International Outreach Donations made between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 on the website by May 20, 2022.

If you need assistance in entering your data, please contact Betty Dunlop at fellowships@cfuw-fcfdu.ca
2022 Club Survey on International Activity
The purpose of this survey is to have current information about the international projects and initiatives local CFUW clubs are involved in so that the International Relations committee can share this information within CFUW and explore ways to support and amplify the international work being undertaken by clubs. Please tell us about your club's international work through this survey by April 8! Thank you for your participation & for sharing this information! Joy Hurst, VP International Relations

Equal Pay Day is dedicated to raising awareness of the gender pay gap. It symbolizes how far into the year the average woman must work in order to have earned what the average man had earned the entire previous year. In Canada, Equal Pay Day is April 12, 2022. To mark Equal Pay Day on April 12, 2022, the ON Equal Pay Coalition invited Ontario’s party leaders Doug Ford, Andrea Horwath, Steven Del Duca, and Mike Schreiner to participate in a province-wide Party Leaders Debate on Women’s Economic Equality. The Leaders’ Debate will livestreamed from 7:00pm–9:00pm across multiple video-streaming platforms.

This will be a free, accessible, welcoming, and non-partisan format where leaders can speak directly to Ontarians on issues they care about. Questions will be posed by women who are experiencing the impact of the pandemic and inequality firsthand. Click here to RSVP!

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13 AT 3:00PM - 4:30PM EDT
