Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the rights of widows. Isaiah 1:17 (NLT)
Mission teams DO make a difference!
Cough UMC knows first hand the impact on the lives of those they have served as well as the impact on their own lives. This church has been serving alongside KBM for many years. As you can see in the picture, almost half their team are children. The importance of a true world vision is life changing and impactful in character development!
Sharing the Gospel message during devotions at public schools through fun and creative ways is welcomed! Students learn important facts and team members are stretched beyond their comfort zones and develop courage to share their faith with others.
This tremendous youth group partnered with KBM for a week of missions in Jamaica touching hearts and changing lives!
They helped Toya's family get a good start on the walls for their room addition. Notice the small one room house behind the new room. This larger room will eventually attach to their existing home more than doubling the home's size! KBM will continue to assist as much as we can. Please join KBM and the team from Belton, TX as we pray for Toya's family and the completion of this room. We love, you Toya!
Notice the bridge in the above right picture. Every board and bag of cement to build the room had to be carried across the gully!
No matter what the project is, our main objective is to share God's love with the community we are working in. Playing with the children is one way team members bring joy. It never ceases to amaze me how simple trinkets bring so very much enjoyment to the children in the communities KBM ministers to!
Assisting residents of Petersville and Audayr with the basic provision of water continues to be one of KBM's priorities.
Collecting water from the spring can be fun. The stream is cool and very refreshing! Having a truck to haul it back up the hill to Audayr or to carry it to Petersville makes delivering water a nice avenue to bless others. Complicate that process with a daily need and no vehicle turns that chore into a hardship. With the help of donations and team members, KBM is determined to construct gutter systems on as many houses as possible. Your generous contributions and advanced technology has enabled KBM to include a filtration system so the recipient can drink and cook with the water they catch!!
Our little town of Whitehouse is known for it's fishing. Ministering to the local fishermen is a privilege Cough UMC holds dear. We are blessed to call many of the fishermen friends. They humbly accept our prayers and small gifts.
My Father's House reunion! It is always a great joy to visit with former residents! It is great fun to get together with them and their families! This is about half. They came from all over Jamaica. Some couldn't join us because of work or they live in America now. We love them all!
