Your August Coastal Commission meeting reminder

Greetings, Coastal Advocates!

This is a reminder that the next Coastal Commission meeting is coming up this Wednesday, August 9 through Friday, August 11 at the King Gillette Ranch Auditorium in Calabasas, CA. You can view the agenda here

Your ActCoastal team will be there, as always, to track key items that may affect our California coast.

The August meeting agenda has several important items including coastal armoring, protection of ESHA and sea level rise. Specifically, a few items we are tracking include:

  • W6g Public Trust (Presentation by Center for Ocean Solutions)
  • W6h Residential Adaptation Draft Policy Guidance

You can read last month's full meeting report here. Don't forget to check the Vote Chart for July's key conservation votes.

You can follow us on Twitter and Facebook, too! As ever, thanks for your support and dedication to access, open space protection and coastal preservation! Please let us know of your coastal concerns – we must all work together to #SaveOurCoast!
