Education Officer Update
Hello all! I hope everything is going well and that you’re getting ready for Exam Season. Congratulations to everyone that has just handed in their dissertations and good luck to those about to start them!

This week thousands of student campaigners and activists descend onto Brighton for the 2016 NUS National Conference. The NUS has undergone some heavy criticism recently, being accused of being unrepresentative, however it still stands as the largest union and one of the best bodies fighting for student rights.
The Reading Delegates will be voting primarily for what will benefit our students, secondly for what will benefit the Students' Union, and finally for what will benefit other students within the NUS. We will release a detailed conference update in the upcoming weeks. In the meantime, follow myself on Twitter @RUSU_Education or check out the hashtag #NUSConference.
The RUSU Excellence Awards 2016 received a record number of nominations with over 300 students wanting to recognise their amazing Support Staff, Personal Tutors and Lecturers! As a result, the upcoming RUSU Partnership in Teaching & Learning Showcase is an opportunity for University staff who have won the RUSU Excellence Awards to share their best practice with colleagues and students.

3sixty, Reading University Students’ Union

The T&L Showcase aims to highlight the importance of a collaborative effort between students and staff and to promote positive teaching and learning experiences at the University of Reading. Come along and support the amazing staff here at the University - all students are invited and lunch is also included!
Course Rep Hero - Dina Ghanma, Finance (Year 3)
Congratulations to Dina Ghanma, our latest Course Rep Hero! Dina’s work this past year has had a really positive impact on students at the ICMA Centre. She has been working tirelessly to make sure her course mates are represented and has also been working with the RUSU Education Officer on academic campaigns throughout the year. Dina has worked on Periodic Reviews, promoted academic representation and was even nominated by fellow students to become Course Rep of the Year! Congratulations once again, an Amazon gift voucher will be waiting for you at RUSU reception!
RUSU Says RELAX, our annual exam stress campaign, is finally back! The campaign will feature a wide variety of events, from the famous petting zoo in Palmer Quad, to useful sessions on coping with exam stress and even a wine and cheese night hosted in Mojo’s. A full list of events can be found on the campaign website, as well as a useful revision timetable template for you to edit, with useful event information and tips on how to revise effectively.
Maybe you could colour code it, go wild and treat yoself! No matter what degree you do or what year you are in, this time of the year can be extremely stressful, so make sure you do take some time out.
And remember to use the #RUSUsaysRelax hashtag!
