While we were excited about the possibility of gathering for a shrimp boil & cookout this Sunday, the church leadership has decided it is best to postpone it until a later day - for two reasons.
One, rain has saturated the ground of the church property. With additional rain forecasted for tomorrow and throughout the week, this makes it very unlikely that it will dry up enough to have our event. Also, as Pastor Israel mentioned in prayer this Sunday, a number of Crosspoint families are experiencing health issues, including several positive cases of COVID. The combination of weather and sickness has led to the decision to postpone the event. We have rescheduled the Shrimp Boil and Cookout for Sunday, July 25. Mark your calendars!
We are not canceling any worship services. However, if you are experiencing symptoms, if you have any type of underlying condition, or simply feel uncomfortable, please consider watching the My Crosspoint Online service at 9:45 a.m. for a couple of weeks. Also, anyone planning to attend in-person may consider going to an earlier or later service that has less attendance and allows more spacing between families.
These are personal decisions for you and your family, and everyone is encouraged to respect and care for each other no matter the decision. Most importantly we ask that you continue your prayers of healing for those not feeling well or experiencing more acute illnesses.
