Sumter County's Incentives Portfolio Updated for Targeted Industries

Targeted industry incentives remain a core aspect of the Sumter County Economic Development strategy to help existing businesses expand and recruit new businesses to the county.

Sumter County Economic Development modified the county's incentive offerings to include a Research and Development incentive to promote innovation for manufacturers and agribusinesses. Additional incentive factors for manufacturers'  tangible personal property investments and companies exporting internationally are also included in the new structure.

Manufacturing Workforce Certification Will Help To Close The Skills Gap

Promoting the pursuit of in-demand manufacturing certifications will have a positive effect on an area's existing manufacturing base and will help boost the community's ability to attract additional manufacturers.
