T&D Family of Companies Seeking Community Support

T&D Family of Companies is seeking community support. The company is collecting and sending truck loads of supplies to the areas of Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey. 

Donations needed include: water, nonperishable food, diapers and baby wipes, baby formula, toiletry items, medical supplies, clothing, cleaning supplies. Donations can be dropped off by September 8 at the T&D Distribution warehouse, at 3409 NE 37th Place in Wildwood or T&D Patio & Pool (CR 466 & CR 466A locations). 

 
 

Work opportunity tax credit

Through the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Program, employers have the opportunity to earn a federal tax credit between $1200 and $9600 per employee. This tax credit is dependent upon the new employee qualifying as a member of a target group and working a minimum of 120 hours in their first year.

Nicole Clamer is the new 4-H Program Manager. Nicole has her B.S. in Family Youth and Community Sciences  from the University of Florida. 
Matt Smith, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Agent I, will start on September 5 and will be assisting growers focusing on crops such as citrus, peaches, blueberries and vegetables.
