Kottke Trucking Wins 2017 Fleet Safety Award

Kottke Trucking, located in Wildwood, recently won the 2017 Fleet Safety Award presented by the Truckload Carrier Association. They won first place in Division III which includes fleets that drive between 15 and 24.99 million miles annually.

Sumter County School District Recognized

The Sumter County School District was recognized for operating 17 career and technical education programs. Most of these programs allow students to receive nationally recognized credentials in manufacturing, healthcare, construction and many other areas.

Trade Show Grants for Florida Companies

Enterprise Florida offers a program to assist Florida companies interested in attending trade shows overseas. Trade shows can be a way to establish or expand the export component of your business.

Excellence in Aging Award

A project between The Villages® Health and the University of South Florida received the 2018 Erickson Foundation Award for Excellence in Aging Research from the American Public Health Association. The project uses technology to look for early warning signs of Alzheimer's and dementia.
