Sumter County Awarded $25,000 Grant for Economic Development Study of Beville’s Corner
The grant from Duke Energy will fund a data analysis and infrastructure assessment of a potential mixed-use commercial hub at the intersection of SR 471 and CR 48 known as Beville’s Corner. Extensive development is happening just north of the targeted location, and a timely assessment of the infrastructure needs will provide the road map for mixed-use development in that area. The grant will also help steer infrastructure upgrades that will help bring in tax revenue and job diversity by bringing business to the area.
