Parents, please remember that your child needs to wear a mask on the school bus and here at school. Please provide these masks for your child, we have had a lot of students asking for disposable masks. Also don't forget to pack a water bottle for your child as well. We do not have any water bottles at school this year.

Ledgelawn Avenue in Bar Harbor on Halloween 2021
The Town of Bar Harbor, in conjunction with the Bar Harbor Police Department, the Downeast Covid Task Force, and the State CDC, has amended the Covid-safety plan for Bar Harbor’s very popular Halloween celebration on Ledgelawn Avenue.
CDC data reports Hancock County, along which the rest of the county, as being high risk for community transmission. This means that it is important for the community to do its best with mask wearing, social distancing, and hand washing if they are going to participate. Our guidance has been reviewed by local medical professionals and the local COVID task force.
Residents on Ledgelawn Avenue will be handing out pre-wrapped candy, some by sending it down a 5-foot candy chute (a pvc pipe) designed to keep residents at a safe distance, while making sure trick or treaters get to have a great time.
The pedestrian traffic will return to normal and will not be restricted to one-way. The recommendation has been made for participants to maintain social distance and avoid pedestrian packing at residences, or other congested intersections or areas.
Ledgelawn Avenue will be closed to vehicles from 3pm-8:30pm. Free adult and child size masks will be available at the event, for those participants who may need them. Please wear a mask (one that prevents germs from spreading), give each other plenty of space, wash your hands, and have a great time.
