Hello Pemetic Families,

I want to take a minute to introduce myself. I am Michele Gurtler and I am the interim Principal and will be filling in for Mike Zboray for the remainder of the school year. I am very excited to get to know your children and continue to support the families and staff of this great community.

My immediate goal is to get to know everyone and offer support where and when needed. I have enjoyed my first couple of days and am learning my way around. Everyone has been kind, helpful, and very patient with me during this transition.

One of my new duties is recess, so I ask that all students dress warmly as we go outside if the temperature and windchill are above 10 degrees.

We continue to follow the rules regarding masking in school and follow the COVID protocols.

My door is always open to parents, staff and students for whatever they may need. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Just a reminder that we have NWEA testing coming up the week of the 25th.  Breakfast and being well rested are keys to testing success.

Monday is a PD day for staff, so no school for students. Due to this we will do Pool testing on Tuesday, and if you haven’t signed up but want to, please reach out to Nurse Brittany.

Enjoy the three day weekend and see everyone on Tuesday.

Michele Gurtler

In correlation with the other schools in the district and guidance from Mr. Z regarding weather and outside recess, if the weather is less than 10 degrees, with windchill, children will NOT be going outside for recess.

Children in grades K-3 must be appropriately dressed in order to go outside in cold weather.  If the teacher decides a student is not, the student must stay inside. There will be an adult to supervise during this time. Grade 4-8 students will all be going outside regardless so they need to be prepared.

It would be very helpful if you sent an extra set of mittens and an extra hat for your child to store in your child’s locker just in case.  Because of COVID, we do not have extra hats and mittens to give out to students this year.

Hi Families,

Pool Testing will happen on Tuesday, January 25th, since students will not be in the building on Monday. We will resume pool testing on Mondays after this week.

If your child has not had the required immunizations for public schools then they cannot return to school until a doctors note is provided to me with a plan in place to receive the necessary vaccine(s).

As always, keep your child home if they are experiencing cold symptoms and have them tested if appropriate.  Anyone who is COVID positive the guidance has changed to a 5 day quarantine.  Please let the school nurse know if someone has tested positive using a home test.
