Winter Break starts Thursday, December 22, 2021 and school starts Monday, January 3, 2022. Happy Holidays!
For the most up-to-date guidance on domestic and international travel, please click this link - MAINE CDC - Travel Guidance- This will provide you with the most current information from the CDC. Please know that recommendations may change that can impact a return to school. MDIRRS has and will continue to follow CDC guidance regarding travel.
Hi Families,
Please let me know if your child has received the COVID-19 vaccine so I can update their medical record. This also makes them exempt from both school and community quarantines. Please keep in mind the current travel guidance from CDC as we head toward winter break.
Travel Highlights
-For all travelers, testing is recommended 3-5 days after travel and to self monitor for symptoms.
-If you are not fully vaccinated then it’s recommended that you stay home for a full 7 days even if you test negative on day 3-5.
-If you are not vaccinated and choose not to test then stay home for the full 10 days to quarantine.
-If you recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection within the past 90 days (regardless of vaccination status), you do NOT need to get a test 3-5 days after travel.
Starting January 3rd, pool testing will be changed to Mondays instead of Tuesdays. The deadline for required immunizations is December 30th. If your child has not had the required immunizations for public schools then they cannot return to school until a doctors note is provided to me with a plan in place to receive the necessary vaccine(s).
I will be checking my emails periodically over break. Please reach out to me with any questions/concerns.
Happy Holidays!
