Dear Pemetic Families,

Yesterday we had the day off of school in observance of Veterans Day.  I would like to thank all those Veterans of the Southwest Harbor community who have served our country.  A truly selfless act in support of the values we cherish as Americans.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents who have been thoughtfully following our MDIRSS Screening Tool if students are feeling unwell and having them stay home. In some cases it has led to the finding of a positive case that has protected the rest of the school community and potential disruption that contact tracing can have. It is a delicate balance of wanting all students in school and at the same time protecting the school community as a whole. Thank you!

This past week saw the beginning of the winter sports season as basketball tryouts began for boys and girls.  We are combined with Tremont to be able to field both an A and B team. Details regarding spectators will be released prior to our first home game on December 13th.

This coming week The MDI Hospital will be conducting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. They will be at Pemetic on Wednesday the 17th. See the vaccination details below if you choose to sign your child up.

Picture re-take day is on Thursday the 18th.  We still have time to bring in donations for the Thanksgiving Basket food drive. See the flyer below for details about requested items.

If you have any questions regarding travel as we head into the Thanksgiving and winter holiday season you can find that information on the Maine CDC website or just click the following link - Maine CDC COVID-19 Travel information.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
