The sun is shining, the flowers are starting to bloom and learning is happening all over. We do ask that you remember the weather can still be cold so send a coat (and possibly a hat) with your child for outside recess. We go outside as much as possible and if a child forgets a coat they can borrow from the lost and found but some students are not thrilled with that idea.
The stomach flu has arrived in full force. Please remember to keep your child home if they do not feel well.
Don’t forget to sign your child up for summer school if you are interested. It will run from 1-4 weeks and is a full day. It will be island wide and held at Trenton Elementary School. Students will be transported to and from Pemetic and it is for students going into 1st through 6th grade.
Here is the link for the AOS 91 Summer School registration form. Embedded in the form you will see the parent letter that outlines the programming for students entering 1st-6th grade in the fall. It also provides information for students who participate in ESY (extended school year) through special education. Information for grade 5-8 students is shared in this form, but students won't register for these opportunities until May.
As to my egg Eddie, there was no hatching. Perhaps next year.
The tents have gone for new “o” rings so they can get set up outside within the next couple of weeks. Ms. Norwood is starting to open up the greenhouse. We are all hoping to get outside as much as possible.
The Learning Lab is up and running! Monday-Friday from 7:30-8:00 am in Kim Schroeder’s room. Any students grades 4-8 needing extra help are welcome to attend. They just need to come in the front door and sign in.
COVID protocols: We follow the guidelines set by the district, as we are all in this together. If things change, as soon as we know, we will get that information out to parents and students.
My door is always open to parents, staff and students for whatever they may need. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Have a great week,
Yearbooks have been ordered! They should be here at the end of May and are packed so tightly with photos and video links that if I added one single more, it would burst. If you still would like to order one, you can order online HERE, or fill our a paper form HERE and send it to school with your payment attached. Yearbooks are now $16.
Thank you to everyone who has already purchased! This has been an awesome year, and I'm excited to relive it through this years' yearbook.

Please remember to have your child’s doctors office fax me any well-child checks being done so I can update medical charts. You should have received a letter if your child needs immunizations for the upcoming year. No student can attend schools until immunization requirements are met. If you have any questions about immunizations please call or email me. Also a reminder that a recent physical is required for any student that wants to participate in extracurricular activities. I need a copy of this in order for them to be able to participate. Doctor’s offices are booking fast so making an appointment well in advance is ideal.
As always, call me with any questions/concerns.

Please be aware that the menus are planned ahead, but like everywhere, there are unexpected shortages and supply issues that interfere with best laid plans.
We appreciate your understanding that meals may unexpectedly change and apologize for any inconvenience.
Maybe during these uncertain times, packing some extra, healthy snacks may help with an unanticipated change in lunch.
Check out the school sports calendar on the Pemetic website for any last minute changes and any updates.
