County Road Association’s 2016 annual Highway Conference coming to the Lansing Center March 15-17
LANSING, MI - A few hundred representatives of Michigan’s 83 county road commissions and departments will meet at the Lansing Center March 15-17, for the Annual Highway Conference organized by the County Road Association of Michigan.
Road agencies will talk about:
Accommodating threatened and endangered bat species in road projects
What the new federal highway FAST Act means to Michigan road agencies
Customer service, E-projects and grant opportunities among the many educational sessions.
On Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the conference will include a Road Show of heavy equipment, technology information service and other products used by road agencies, open to the public.
The 83 members of the County Road Association represent the unified, credible and effective voice for a safe and efficient local road system in Michigan, collectively managing more than 73 percent of all roads in the state– more than 90,000 miles and 5,700 bridges— the fourth-largest county road system in the nation.
