How Joe Biden’s Team Used Blush to Win Back America

I had the opportunity to talk to Robyn Kanner, Creative Director of the Biden campaign. We discussed how her team played a crucial part in winning back the soul of the nation. And also, we talked about how they used Blush with their own illustration system. Not surprisingly, doodles were a great tool to use during a pandemic, when taking photos is not as viable.

The State of Design

How is Design changing in 2021? A survey with over 1,000 designers. Where they were asked how they work, what they value, and what kinds of challenges they face.

A repository of different design internship positions. A cool way to find paid opportunities and resources to kickstart a career as a designer.

Suva Type Foundry

All of the fonts featured here are designed by the students and faculty of EKA GD in various workshops, classes, and projects. The website is continuously updated as new fonts are designed. The site is a bit crazy, but I love the experimental side of it. Go have fun with fonts!

Paint.WTF: A Drawing Game Where an AI is the Judge

Think “Cards Against Humanity” meets Microsoft Paint. Now add an AI as the judge. Paint.Wtf challenges you to draw your best on zany prompts and then be scored by an AI. See if you can rank atop the global leaderboard. A new prompt is released every 2 hours.

Typeface: Etna

This typeface is a reinterpretation of the ‘Aetna’ genre of typefaces that peaked in popularity as wood type in the 19th century. The new design expands on the classic American style for use in contemporary design but keeps the best part of it, the fat face display romans. So good!

I'm on Tiktok

Yeah, I joined the bandwagon and started doing Tik Tok videos. And I'll be honest, I don't know what I'm doing most of the time lol, but I'm learning. So, if you're into drawing and design tutorials, come say hi.

Also, in case you were waiting for your Pablito Planeta predictions, here are Libra, Virgo, Leo, and Sagittarius.
