Dot went to be with the Lord
Dear Kerugma Supporter,

In a previous Bulletin sent out 2 weeks ago, we informed of the serious illness of Dot Henegan. In our regular telephonic conversations with this dear lady, we were constantly amazed at her clarity of mind. During our final contact, Dot told us about conversations she had had with two pastors. Until the drawing of her final breath, Dot was determined to minister to people of the importance that all should come to a personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. She said she had emphasized to the pastors of their priority to speak God’s Word to people regarding their relationship with Jesus.

The reason for this letter is to inform you that Dot went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening 11 March at 18:15. She mentioned during our last conversations too, that she could not understand why the Lord was delaying her departure to be with Him. And now at last, she is safely Home.

How would one react when confronted with serious illness or upon hearing the diagnosis of a tumour, as in Dot’s case? People would react differently to such difficult news. But after a while, when we have calmed down, it is necessary to pray and ask the Lord what His purpose is with a specific illness. When the Lord, in His goodness would reveal to us His purpose, we can pray with confidence, knowing that we are praying according to His will. Seeking His will in such cases, children of the Lord often see the Lord miraculously healing someone. In Dot’s case as we asked the Lord what his purpose was He reminded us of His dealings with Elisha. As you know the Lord used this man mightily and did amazing miracles through him. But in the end we read: “When Elisha became sick with the illness of which he was to die...” (2 Kings 13:14). It was clear that the Lord allowed this tumour in Dot’s body to come and take her.

So we lifted Dot before the throne of grace and that she may be spared unnecessary suffering.
The Church Service to say a final goodby to
Dot Henegan
(11/07/1930 - 11/03/2020)
will be done at 11H00 on 23 March 2020 in the NG Church Harrismith Central at 25 Murray Street, Harrismith.
It will be a Remembrance Service.
Testifying of the saving grace of her Lord as she awaited the promised prospect given all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, she was carried away by the angels to the throne of God. What a wonderful prospect is waiting for us that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Dot Henegan’s memorial service is arranged for Monday 23 March 2020 in Harrismith. Our prayers are with her children, grandchildren and all the other family members.

As we mentioned in our recent Bulletin of what Dot meant to us at Kerugma Productions, so we honour her memory with an appropriate mention of her passing away.

Greetings in Christ,
Naas & Marina le Roux
