The Message Stick is a regular update of key activities and developments in the WQPHN for Board Directors and Clinical & Consumer Advisory Council Members

13 May 2022

In this edition:

  • Sandy gives an update from Canberra while she attended the National Primary Care Reform Summit, where she, 31 other PHNs and key stakeholders developed key health messages for the incoming Government.
  • We meet with Dr Conrad for "Who's Who in WQ", a Rural GP from Proserpine and NQPHN Clinical Council Chair also attending the Summit in Canberra.
  • Sandy acknowledges International Nurses Day, Thursday 12 May and welcomes the rain in Western Queensland regions this week.
Message sticks have played an important part in communication between Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander groups across the immense Australian landscape for thousands of years and have survived as part of Australian cultural celebrations.
