palliPHARM Queensland Health reimbursement for rural pharmacies
Opportunity available until 15 June 2022
Queensland Health (QH) and Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) are committed to supporting health services for Queenslanders in areas of need, including community-based end-of-life care, especially in regional, rural, and remote parts of the state.
QH and PSA have partnered in an initiative known as palliPHARM, designed to encourage pharmacists to maintain a supply of medicines suitable for use by community-based palliative care patients. One outcome of palliPHARM has been the development of a Core Palliative Care Medicines List for Queensland Community Patients.
Regional, rural, and remote pharmacies may be eligible for a reimbursement payment of $100 to stock TWO boxes of each of FIVE core palliative care medicines.
This payment is a single one-off payment limited to one per pharmacy. This Factsheet provides more information and Terms and Conditions.
Pharmacies stocking the core palliative care medicines are listed on the WQ HealthPathways Practical Prescribing Guide page
