The year started out with women praying for a “word” from the Lord, along with praying and fasting.  What does it mean to “fast”?  The stories that the women shared about their experiences were so touching.  We learned through a devotion that fasting while praying is like “hyper-prayer

Sanctified Hope encourages our women to give back.  We were able to go to Beautiful Feet, a homeless ministry, to serve and testify as to what the Lord is doing in lives at Sanctified Hope.
With the New Year, starts new classes and traditions.  Because we have been so busy with our women, the staff have had to ask volunteers to come and teach the classes that we were teaching.  Our new teacher, Felicity, is now teaching our Breaking Free Class!  Felicity attends Solid Rock Church.  She has a servant’s heart and enjoys spending time with her family.
We welcomed our 25th lady to Sanctified Hope, Cori.  Cori is very bubbly and energetic person and always has a positive attitude!  She loves Italian food and and white chocolate mini kit kats.
Finally, Sanctified Hope honored our volunteers by having our 1st annual volunteer appreciation dinner at the Zion Hill Community Center.  It was such a special time of fellowship.  We served the volunteers a Mexican dinner and then washed their feet.  We were all very blessed.

A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

Dear Friends,

The New Year generally brings new and exciting goals and opportunities.  Sanctified Hope and the women all have new goals that we would like to achieve, both personally and corporately.  Because we treat the whole woman, we have emphasized getting healthy.  Our bodies are to be a holy temple for the Holy Spirit to reside.  Everyone is excitedly planning their grocery shopping accordingly and we are exercising twice a week altogether with one of our volunteers, Nancy Connor.  I have even started going with them to set an example.  The ladies also do Yoga once a week.  Our volunteer, Ally comes to teach that class each Saturday.

Our spiritual health is of utmost importance.  Each woman goes through 4 months of biblical curriculum when they first arrive at Sanctified Hope.  The studies along with the homework is equivalent to a 40 hour work week.  It is the foundation in which they will start their new lives with.   We have wonderful volunteers and teachers that come in and teach our classes.  If you ever feel led to volunteer at Sanctified Hope, please go to our website and fill out our volunteer application and send it in to us.  We have volunteer training throughout the year.

I pray that this year will find you all healthy in every way!

Blessings,
Sharon Klahm-Hibler
