In 1991, First Baptist Church Hendersonville relocated to our present facilities. 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of that relocation.
The facilities began with the sanctuary, education space, and Family Ministry Center (what is now Wilson Hall). Through the years, additional buildings have been constructed as the church has grown and needed more space. In all of these 30 years, the church has been paying on building loans.
Thousands of members have joined over the past 30 years. So many of us are able to enjoy the vision and sacrifices of those who came before us!
When Pastor Chesser arrived in 2009, the loan was $15,000,000. Today, that loan is less than $575,000. We believe that we can be debt-free in the next 60 days!
Over the next few weeks, you will hear about a special offering to be received in April. That offering, above the tithe, will go toward paying off our remaining debt. And for the first time in over three decades, we will be debt-free as a church. This will then allow us to make some technology and other improvements to our facilities through the remainder of 2021 and do so with cash.
Together, we can reach this incredible milestone.
The ministry of FBCH continues.
