Race Update
Our new race director, Leslie, has reached out to the 148 runners who had deferred their registration from May 2020 to May 2022 to let them know this year's race was cancelled. So far, no one has asked for a refund, so they are now registered for our May 2023 race!
Biltmore Forest has approved a 10K Race on Saturday, July 23rd at 7:30! We will have more details from Leslie soon.

Our club received a very generous check for $2,000 from the Biltmore Estate Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of WNC.

Our club gave 100 helmets to all the 3rd and 4th graders at Johnston who completed a bike safety course during their PE class. We received these helmets through a grant from the NCDOT. We had hoped to have a "Bike Bonanza" to give them out, but COVID put a damper on things.

Our speakers were Erin Erickson, program Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Henderson County, and Jamye Davis, the executive Vice President of Programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters of WNC. This great organization has been serving Western North Carolina since 1982 and are now in18 counties. Their mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Volunteers can choose from 2 types of mentoring. Community- based mentoring is where Mentors (Bigs) spend a few hours a couple times a month with the youth (Little) on outings in the community. School-based mentoring is where Mentors spend one hour a week at the youth’s school assisting with school work and social/emotional learning.
Big Brother Big Sisters is looking for dedicated adults who believe in their mission and want to make a positive impact on a youth in our community. Contact them if you, or someone you know, may be interested.
