Hey Church,
Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving!  This has been an insane year that none of us saw coming, and yet, through it all, our Good Lord has never failed us, abandoned us, or forsaken us.  In fact, He’s done just the opposite!  He’s been so faithful, so abundant in grace and so overwhelming in love.  And on top of all that, He’s moving among us and leading us into the deep waters of faith where we, as a Church, will have the opportunity to unite together around His love and lead.

So let me also just say, how thankful I am for you! Thank you for your faithfulness, thank you for your love and your support! I miss you all terribly and can’t wait until we can be together again!   As I picture your faces, remember your stories, and think about an eternity with you in the presence of our Good Lord, I can’t help but smile!   Thank you for allowing our family to be part of yours.

May you have a blessed Thanksgiving today!

With all my heart,

PS - I know I’ve mentioned the Dwell app before, and today they released a playlist of verses expressing gratitude towards God.   It is fantastic!  I highly recommend it.  You can download the app, or you can click the link and just play it in your browser.
Hello Anchor Family!

I have some exciting news to share with you! There has been a recent addition to our Anchor Student Ministries team! Emma Mitchell has joined our team of youth leaders and we couldn’t be more excited. As expected, the Lord has worked this out in His perfect timing. We know Emma will be a blessing to the youth and a great addition to our team. We eagerly anticipate the Lord to continue using our team to effectively minister to your kids here at The Anchor.

As you know, we have been making our way through the book of Mark for about a month now, and it is exciting to see the kids soak up so much of what the Lord is revealing to them. Already we have covered so many crucial themes and topics. Some of which include; the Trinity (Mark 1:10-11), the kingdom of God and the gospel (Mark 1:15), the invitation to follow Jesus (Mark 1:17), and Jesus’ authority over all creation (Mark 1:22, Col. 1:17-18).

Mark is an action packed book that has helped us slow down and take small, bite-sized portions of scripture to see more clearly who Jesus is and what that means for us as His followers.

Our weekly schedule remains the same:
Sunday Morning Online Youth Gathering
•Video teachings will be posted every Sunday morning by 10:00 am

Thursday Evening Zoom Meeting
•Zoom meeting is on Thursday @ 5:30 pm

Please feel free to email Nick Lemau, who is overseeing all of student ministries, at if you have any questions.

We ask and thank you for your prayer, grace and support through this difficult season of ministry. We rejoice that the Lord is still at work saving and sanctifying His people.

With love,
Collin Mitchell

If you haven't filled out a new connection card yet, please take a few minutes to do so.  As we continue to take steps of faith towards this next season at The Anchor, we want to make sure you stay informed and so we are just rebuilding our whole database (it was really out of date) with the most current information.   Even if you've did one just before Covid hit and nothing has changed, it still would be incredibly helpful.  And if you know folks who aren't getting this email, could you please forward it to them?

Praying for one another is an honor and privilege we have as followers of Jesus.  If you have prayer requests we can lift up, please let us know!

Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.

Not only can you watch the sermons on your phones or computer, now you can stream them directly from your Apple TV or Roku devices!  Just search the appropriate app store for "The Anchor Gilroy" and you'll find us!
