With house prices slowly starting to raise you may be thinking about selling any second property you may have. Before any sale can be finalised the NPPR must be paid and a cert of discharge received from the county council. Charges and late fees can amount to €7,230 if this has not been paid.
The NPPR is a tax on any second property which was liable from 2009 to 2013 before been replaced by the local property tax in 2014.
