Ireland is Officially Open Again!
To our valued members and partners,

I’m delighted to be touching base with you again in a week that has been 15 months in the making for all of us.

The easing of travel restrictions means we can finally breathe new life into Irish golf tourism.

Our amazing industry generated €300m in annual revenue before the outbreak of Covid-19, and I am confident we will get back to that level with a little time and luck.

This will only be helped by the return of indoor hospitality with new government guidelines set to come into effect on Monday.

And our exceptional pubs, restaurants and cafés will no doubt be ready and waiting to reopen their doors to patrons from home and abroad.

Until next time, take a look at the latest good news stories from across the IGTOA family.

Yours in Golf,

Denis Kane

South Of Ireland Amateur Open Returns
The best of luck to the 64 players who will be competing for The South of Ireland Amateur Open Championship from today at the Lahinch Golf Club. The Match Play tournament returns following a two-year break and features a field of some of the best amateur talent in the country.
Carr Golf Champions a Great Cause
Huge kudos to Carr Golf who helped their friend Darren Fitzgerald play 65 holes in one day to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis community. Darren, whose daughter has Cystic Fibrosis, completed his challenge last Monday across the three courses at Corballis, Elmgreen and Castleknock.
Open Week Gets Underway at Slieve Russell
Limited bookings are still available for the PGA National Open Week that gets underway this Sunday at the Slieve Russell Hotel. The scheduled events - to be played out across five days on the resident parkland paradise - are gents and ladies singles Stableford, four-person Texas Scramble, and mixed teams.
GAA Am-Am on Galway Bay
Legendary Tribesmen from across the decades reunited on Tuesday for a GAA Am-Am in support of the Galway County Board. The event was hosted and sponsored by the gorgeous Galway Bay Resort and the participants could not have asked for better conditions as they took on the ocean-hugging parkland.
Stay & Play on the Diamond Coast
The Diamond Coast Hotel has a sensational selection of stay & play deals for golf lovers plotting a course for the Wild Atlantic Way. Sitting on the shimmering Sligo shoreline, the hotel is just a putting green away from beguiling beaches and that dramatic dunes course at the Enniscrone Golf Club.

Druids Glen Hailed as ‘Heaven-Sent’ for Golfers
The team at Druids Glen are no strangers to lavish praise, but they must have been particularly pleased with this re-released review from Golfshake.com. The experience of a round on the Druids Glen course and unwinding at the clubhouse was enough for their ambassador to call the resort ‘heaven-sent’ for travelling golfers.
