During the month of February, for the first time ever, ACE WBC presented a series of webinars and in person workshops to educate women business owners on the process of how to compete for federal contracts. An average of 50+ women attended Phase 1 of the Women-Owned Small Business Certification Cohort Series.

Amy Reese, from ARC Business Solutions, made the presentations informative, insightful and was ready to answer any questions the participants had. They learned about the different types of certifications available to compete in the federal marketplace; understanding the NAICS Codes and selecting them; how to write a capability statement; and, the last session was an interactive walk-through of the Federal Government contract-bidding site. A selected number of participants will enter Phase 2.
